On 16th July 2010 Bagshaws held an auction on behalf of Stan and Elizabeth Winterton at Brook House Farm, Cheddleton.
Stan and Elizabeth generously donated the proceeds of the sale of a heifer to Cancer Research UK via Cheddleton Carnival Committee.

This is Stan Winterton, Carnival Queen Hannah Rushton and auctioneer Mark Elliott with the heifer.

The heifer was bought for £3400 by Frank Poyser and Martin and Jody Sales.

Shaving Mick

This is Mick Rushton
Mick has had a beard for 31 years.
As Mick and his wife Liz have known each other for 28 years, Liz has never seen him without his beard.
Neither have their children or most of their friends.
On Saturday 26th June 2010 Liz and Mick organised a treasure hunt which finished with a quiz at Leek Rugby Club.
At the end of the quiz, Mick had his beard shaved off and his head shaved to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
This is Mick being shaved by Liz.

This is Mick having being shorn.

With your help, Liz and Mick raised £257 for the treasure hunt and £1400 for Mick being shaved.
Many thanks to all who helped, took part and sponsored.
